SpeedNet is a
utility designed to make your download experience easier and more convenient. SpeedNet
includes a download accelerator, which can double or even triple your existing download
speeds. If it turns out that SpeedNet's settings haven't improved your download
performance, you can restore the default settings with a single click. SpeedNet can also
resume interrupted downloads, so if your file gets cut off due to an unexpected
disconnection, you simply enter the filename when you reconnect and finish the download
from where it left off. In addition, you can use SpeedNet's fast IP resolving to visit
your favorite Web sites without having to wait for slow name servers. Features include a
SpeedUp wizard, which optimizes your connection settings; SpeedCache, which downloads
pages linked to your current Web page and places them in your browser's cache so that when
you click a link, the page loads much more quickly; SpeedRetrieve, a multiple-connection
download accelerator; and SpeedResolve, which allows your computer to save time when you
browse by defining the resolved IP address for a specific location.
In this version, Speednet will now automatically handle all
downloads made in Internet Explorer and Netscape. |
