Total Finger is an
easy-to-use Finger protocol program that allows you to determine if someone is online or
to look for information on Internet users. You can find a variety of tidbits on a user,
including a personal note (a plan), if they have set one up. Features include a
simple query input box, a results window that is easy to view, command-line parameter
support, printing and saving of results, and batch processing of text files. When Total
Finger is not in use, you can minimize it to the system tray for quick retrieval. This
release offers updated help documentation and the ability to automatically finger a client
at specified intervals. This version fixes a few bugs and relies on Windows's dial-up
networking support instead of internal support. Version
1.50 now adds a better results window, allowing an unlimited size of results. A beta
version of a Finger server is now included, as well as many minor bug fixes. Advertising
support is also removed from this version.
Version 1.60 fixes compatibilty problems with Windows 2000
and XP, adds query text completion and delete old query support, and as other fixes and
updates as well. |
