Advanced
Maillist Verify (AMV) is a program that verifies the validity of e-mail addresses in
databases, address books, and mailing lists. It's not only a standalone program, it can be
also easily integrated into existing systems using open COM/ActiveX and CGI/ISAPI
interfaces. The program uses the same
algorithm that ISP mail systems do. Mail server addresses are extracted from a DNS server
and the program attempts to connect with found SMTP servers and simulate the sending of an
e-mail message. The SMTP server tells the program whether the address is valid or not.
Advanced Maillist Verify can be easily integrated
into existing systems from simple mailing lists to The Bat, Eudora, and Windows address
books, plus many more. In addition, AMV includes ODBC SQL support, allowing it to work
with DBMS systems such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft Access, and even
Microsoft Excel. AMV can detect invalid addresses, remove them from source lists, and
create exclusion lists. The program also supports the SOCKS 5.0 proxy protocol for use
within a local area network (LAN).
In Version 4.1, the IAmvConfigure interface was
added to configure AMV from other applications. AMV correctly works with SMTP servers
which support DUL and RBL databases. |
