GFI LANguard
Network Security Scanner (N.S.S.) is a tool to audit network security and proactively
secure it. GFI LANguard N.S.S. scans entire networks from a 'hacker's' perspective, and
analyses machines for open ports, shares, security alerts/vulnerabilities, service pack
level, installed hotfixes and other NETBIOS information such as hostname, logged on user
name. It does OS detection, password strength testing, and detects registry issues. GFI
LANguard N.S.S. is a complete patch management solution. After it has scanned your network
and determined missing patches and service packs you can use GFI LANguard N.S.S. to deploy
those service packs and patches network-wide. Scan reports are customizable, outputted in
HTML, and can be compared to previous scans, allowing you to easily see changes in your
network. Version 6.0 detects wireless network
devices, detects and reports USB devices, improves network devices reporting, checks
status of GFI LANguard Portable Storage Control, features support for SSH, multithread
